Instahyre & Wellfound Portfolio & Resume Merger

Government portals (UPSC, SSC, state PSCs, Parivahan and others) run on shared servers that store millions of applicant files. Strict per-file ceilings like 20KB or 50KB keep their databases fast and inexpensive, so any upload above the exact limit is rejected instantly by a server-side check — even if the photo looks perfect. The fix is to compress to just under the stated limit while keeping the required pixel dimensions, which is exactly what this tool does.

Everything happens inside your own browser. When you pick a file, it is read into your device memory (RAM), compressed or merged locally, and handed straight back to you for download. It is never uploaded to our servers, never stored in any cloud, and never seen by us — so sensitive identity documents like Aadhaar and PAN cannot leak from a server we do not use. You can verify this by turning on airplane mode: the tool still works.

Yes. Because the processing engine runs entirely on your device, once the page has loaded you can switch to airplane mode and still compress, resize, and merge your files. The app is also installable as an offline PWA, so it keeps working during the last-minute rush when portals are slow or your data is patchy.

First confirm the file format the portal expects — many reject PNG or iPhone HEIC files and only accept JPG or PDF. Next, check that both the file size AND the pixel dimensions match the specification (some portals also enforce a minimum size). Re-generate the file with the exact preset shown above, clear your browser cache, and re-upload. If it still fails, try a different browser, since a few government portals only work correctly in specific ones.
